Dux Classic Double Box sharpener are made of a recycled resin plastic, cousin to Bakelite, that is strong enough to serve as the body for the Communist-era Trabant motor car. Duroplast is as strong as steel. Designed in the 1950s, this Dux sharpener has two openings: one for fat and one for standard pencils. For convenience the shavings are collected in the container beneath the blades.
