Turn the knurl once to the right to make the tip of your pencil more or less sharp. Insert pencil into sharpener and turn clockwise, creating a neat little pile of pencil shavings on your desk.
If a little bit of lead gets stuck in the tip of the sharpener, not to worry. Tap the sharpener on the edge of your desk to shake out the former pencil points.
The Dux brass sharpener needs very little care. One can wipe clean with a paper towel occasionally.
Store it in its little leather case for safekeeping.
